For Gabe, the vision was clear from the beginning. She wasn’t looking for a simple backyard shed or somewhere to stack storage boxes. as an artist (gabrielle_tito_art),
she wanted a dedicated creative space - somewhere to house her art supplies, spend long hours painting, and work comfortably in a studio that felt inspiring to be in every day.
That search eventually led her to the Hamilton 12x8 Cedar Timber Designer Studio.

Choosing a Studio That Felt Open and Spacious
One of the biggest priorities for Gabe was finding a studio with enough internal height and usable space to properly function as an artist’s workspace. The Hamilton 12x8 from Stilla’s latest Designer Studio range stood out immediately.
It offered the largest possible studio footprint that could still be installed without requiring council approval, making it the ideal fit for both the property and the way Gabe wanted to work.
But it wasn’t just the specifications that sold her. Seeing the finished studio in person at the Brisbane Home Show made all the difference.
“Being able to walk through the finished product and experience the space properly was what really helped us make the decision,” Gabe explains.
A Studio With Character
For creative spaces, atmosphere matters. Gabe and her family were drawn to the warmth and heritage-inspired feel of the cedar timber construction - something that felt far more personal and inviting than a standard steel structure.
Rather than looking like an obvious backyard addition, the Hamilton feels more like a permanent part of the property - a studio with genuine character and presence.
Built Around Natural Light
As an artist, lighting was one of the most important considerations throughout the process.
That’s why the ability to customise the studio with additional windows became a key part of the design.
With sunlight flowing through the space during the day, the studio feels bright, calm and connected to the outdoors - exactly the kind of environment that encourages creativity.
A Process Backed by Great Support
As one of the first Hamilton Studios assembled following the Brisbane Home Show launch, there were a few minor teething issues along the way - something fairly natural with a newly released model.
What stood out to Gabe, though, was how responsive and supportive the Stilla team were throughout the process.
“Stilla were absolutely wonderful to deal with,” Gabe says. “We couldn’t be happier with the finished product.”
Now complete, the studio has become a space that feels entirely her own - thoughtfully designed, full of natural light, and perfectly suited to her creative work.
A Space to Create
Now complete, the Hamilton Studio has become more than just a backyard structure.
It’s a dedicated artist’s retreat. A space designed intentionally around light, comfort and creativity. Somewhere to paint, think, experiment and spend uninterrupted time doing what he loves.
And perhaps most importantly, it’s a space that feels inspiring the moment you walk through the doors.
