Classics Studios VS Designer Studios

Classics Studios VS Designer Studios

Every Stilla studio is clad in 18mm premium Western Red Cedar and topped with a Colorbond® steel roof. So the real choice isn’t about quality — it’s about how you’ll use the room.

Our studios come in two ranges. Classic Studios, like the Olive, are made for creative and hobby spaces. Designer Studios, like the Hamilton, are built for rooms you’ll spend all day in, all year round.

Here’s how they compare, and how to tell which one fits.

Which one suits you?

Choose a Classic Studio if:

You want a creative or hobby space with real character. Colonial-style cedar doors and windows give the Classic its warm, timeless cottage look. Roof insulation, wall sisalation and hardwood ply bracing come standard, so it’s comfortable for regular use.

It’s the right call for an art studio, craft room, music room or a place to tinker on weekends — at a lower price point.

Choose a Designer Studio if:

You’ll spend long days inside, or want the room to feel like part of the house. Aluminium and glass joinery brings in more light and a cleaner, contemporary finish. The heavier 70x35mm framing and taller 2.16m walls give a more solid, spacious room.

Guttering is included, and you can match the roof to any Colorbond® colour. It suits a full-time home office, an extra living space or a retreat.

Just need storage?

If it’s for tools, bikes and the mower, a Cedar Shed like the Willow ($6,466 for 12x8) uses the same cedar cladding without the studio fit-out. Explore Cedar Sheds

Four questions to help you decide

  1. How many hours a week will you be in there? Daily, all-day use leans Designer. Weekend projects and evening hobbies suit a Classic.
  2. What look do you want? Cottage charm with colonial joinery, or a modern finish with aluminium and glass.
  3. Does it need to match the house? The Designer’s optional Colorbond® colours and external painting make it easier to tie in.
