The Stilla Sorrento Designer Studio has been featured in the April issue of Australian House & Garden - as part of Three Birds Renovations’ Eclectic Escape on the NSW Central Coast.
A colourful coastal home designed for entertaining, connection and long summer days, the project was brought to life in just 12 weeks and captured in print as a space made for good times and easy living.
Within the feature, the Sorrento Designer Studio is shown as part of the home’s outdoor setting. An additional space that supports everything from relaxed afternoons to evenings spent with friends.
Featured as Part of a Summer Sanctuary
Originally a much-loved holiday home, the property had seen better days after significant storm damage. The renovation reimagined it as a summer sanctuary. A place for sandy feet, afternoon naps and friends dropping by with a bottle of bubbly.
As showcased in House & Garden, the backyard now plays a central role in how the home is experienced.
Positioned on the lawn, the Stilla Sorrento Designer Studio forms part of this setting. A dedicated space that sits just beyond the main home, adding depth and flexibility to the overall design.

A Studio That Complements the Design
As captured in the editorial, the Sorrento Designer Studio in cedar has been finished to align with the home’s exterior.
Painted in Dulux Grey Master with crisp white trims, it reflects the palette used across the project. A fresh and striking combination that feels right at home in a coastal setting.
The result is a structure that feels considered and connected. A natural extension of the space rather than an addition.
A Flexible Space for Entertaining
The House & Garden feature highlights a home designed for entertaining, with multiple outdoor zones that flow easily from one to the next.
Within this layout, the Stilla Sorrento Designer Studio provides a flexible, multifunctional space. It can be used for entertaining, accommodating guests or as a practical storage area.
Set alongside the deck, pergola and firepit, it becomes part of a layered outdoor environment designed for shared moments and relaxed living. The inclusion of a Stilla Studio enhances how the home is used, without changing its footprint.
The Featued Shed: Sorrento Cedar Designer Studio
At the heart of Eclectic Escape’s outdoor transformation sits the Stilla Sorrento Designer Studio from Stilla’s premium Designer Studios collection.
This collection marks a refined shift in how outdoor structures are imagined. Drawing on years of design evolution, these studios move beyond traditional sheds, offering considered, architectural spaces that feel like a true extension of the home.
The Sorrento was selected for its seamless blend of practicality and elevated design. Constructed from high-quality Western Red Cedar, it introduces warmth and organic character, complementing the relaxed coastal aesthetic of the project. Thoughtful details like stronger framing, refined aluminium and glass finishes, higher internal clearance and integrated guttering enhance both the look and liveability - creating a space that feels open, light-filled and enduring.
Engineered to perform in Australia’s varied conditions, the studio is fully weather-resistant, secure and built for longevity, with optional subfloor solutions for more complex sites.
What truly sets it apart is its adaptability. From a peaceful hideaway to a lively entertaining zone or an overflow space during peak holiday stays, the Sorrento Cedar Designer Studio effortlessly evolves with the needs of the home and the lifestyle around it.
A Considered Addition, Captured in Print
Being featured in Australian House & Garden highlights the role the Sorrento Designer Studio plays within the overall design.
More than an additional structure, it becomes part of the story. A space that supports connection, entertaining and time spent together.
In Eclectic Escape, it’s a detail that helps bring the vision to life. Sun-kissed, eclectic and made for good times.
